Nineteen-year-old Hazlewood has played just six first-class games after making his debut in a tour match against New Zealand just under two years ago while George was a member of the Australia squad that drew 1-1 with Pakistan earlier this year in England but did not take part in the series. Hazlewood did, however, represent Australia in a one-day international against England in late June, the right-hander dismissing opener Craig Kieswetter to finish with 1-41 from seven overs and has claimed 17 wickets for the Blues with his best haul 3-94. After grabbing 2-53 from 18 overs and 2-23 from 11.1 overs against the Black Caps at the SCG, Hazlewood did not play again for his state in the first-class arena that summer, with his Sheffield Shield debut coming more than a year later against Western Australia when he took 4-83. "India is ranked No.1 in Test cricket and there is no harder assignment in Test cricket at the moment than playing India on their home soil," said National Selection Panel chairman Andrew Hilditch. Hazelwood was impressive in the U-19s. Also to knock Hughes off, we need people with pace and bounce (which Flintoff and Harmison had) to get it into his ribs and we dont have anyone . Even if we did, the pitches wont help them one bit. I expect atleast one knock of substance from him.

Hughes wont play. They'll still opt for North at #6 and Watson to open. This will most prolly be North's final tour. :giggle: Peter George is a bowler from SA.
