Raina has usually has the better of Vettori, he should have stuck to his sweep slog if he had to have a hit

More than the bouncers i am worried about his shot selection. He plays some inexplicable shots at the most inopportune times.

Both are worries. Raina is a guarantee for the SA series. After SA series, the selectors will look at how he's done. His ODI perf and limited Test perf means he will need to be given a chance upto end of SA series. That much he deserves for having shone for India. How he makes use of that is upto him. He is a talented guy, hope he comes good. I really hope Gary Kirsten has a talk with him and helps him with technique and shot selection and temperament. The role of G.K. is less with the Tendulkars, Dravids, Laxmans, his role is more with the younger players.

Now that we have given Raina a chance, he should atleast continue to the end of SA tour which will give him good opportunity to prove himself.
