agree with the OP about agarkar, IP for all the reasons, they cannot do badly than these sanths, kumars etc i thought i was the one who supported aggy but good to see some company here.

To be fair to the selectors, Vinay did really well in the previous FC season so you cannot just keep ignoring him. At least, the domestic chart-toppers must be seen to be rewarded for their efforts. But they obviously chose the wrong series to play him. To play Vinay Kumar on flat Indian pitches where there is little to no assistance to the pacers like having a clearance sale in your store in America – The batsmen will be all over him. But if there’s something in the pitch for the pacers, Vinay is capable of being reasonably effective.

Couldn't have said it better. Vinay and Mithun both have done very well for Karnataka team in the past season and definitely deserved the call. Maybe he can make an impact on other pitches. Lets wait n see.

Irfan needs to touch 140 again. Else he will not play. Its been made amply clear to him over the past 2 years.
