don_corleone840 Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 :giggle: Perhaps you must try and filter that out since i don't have a statsguru that filters out the averages in the parameters certified by you :--D. But seriously, Sanga is a better batsman than Dhoni make no mistake. And Gilly is the best of the lot.He averages 41 on Sub Continental tracks (included Windies), while chasing a total. http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/5390.html?batting_fielding_first=2;class=2;filter=advanced;home_or_away=2;home_or_away=3;innings_number=2;innings_number=4;opposition=4;opposition=6;opposition=7;opposition=8;orderby=default;template=results;type=allround;view=cumulative Having said that, its hard to say that Gilly was not the best by saying the averageof Gilly was far behind Dhoni avg just 36 as compared to whopping 50+. But Gilly was an aggressive opening batsman, had to play early swing, seam movement whatever the pitch had to offer, had 6,7 players in the ring that denied him an easy single in the earlier overs, but equally well, he had the hard ball that came nicely on the bat, the field restrictions allowed him to play his natural game and go over the top, and eliminated the risk element of getting out, which perhaps is more when you take the aerial root after the Powerplays. So all in all, its fair enough to say that Gilly was the best because he changed the way the first 15 overs were approached(Although they say that Sanath and kaloo did that in 96 WC), i am not sure that Gilly would have played any differently had it not been discovered then. BRADMAN>>SACHIN WHY?? BETTER AVERAGE AND SR IN SAME WAY DHONI >>> GILLY SANGA AND GANGU WHY??BETTER AVERAGE AND SR :two_thumbs_up:

I would not get into comparisons. My only point is Dhoni is world's best ever keeper-batsman-captain :--D

Ganguly's Avg and Gillys Avg in SA > Dhonis average. Dhoni have no tons outside Subcontinent, They have Many. Dhoni failed Immensely in England, Gilly and Ganguly Didnt. Gilly and Ganguly have scored in Pressure Situations like Finals and Semi Finals Dhoni havent. Dhoni is Lightyears behind most of the Indian Legends, and Dhoni's AVG in AUS is not 70 . Its 68.

Reported Your post you ****. If you want to have one on one with me, Kindly PM me your Phone Number i shall teach you an abuse or two. Or you can sort that out in PM itself.:haha: Talking about coming at Number 5 hence not having hundred, yes he comes at Number 5 that means he has opurtunity to score 50's so why only one 50 in SA and England? Why his average is 34 in SA and 25 in England? Talking about Ganguly is Legend is no news except some kids like you whio started folowing cricket 2 years back. Come back when your Dhoni has 18k Runs in International Cricket then come and Compare. Talking about Anil Kumbale's Technique beter than Ganguly well True when Ravindra Jadeja technique is more Suitable to score Runs outside Subcontinent than Dhoni.:hysterical:
