We have a slim chance and we need to go for the kill. We cant lose from here, so I cant see whats the harm in going for a win. The worst result possible for us from here is a draw anyways. Dhoni once said that he has learned it from Ganguly. Always ensure that you cant lose before you go for a win, he was told by Ganguly. Always think if the opposition stands a chance if they go for a win and have a very good day on the field. If they have even a remote chance, dont declare.

no point in taking excessive risk in the first test match, if the series had been 0-0 or 1-1 after first test or had India 2-0 after or 1-0 down after first 2 matches, India could had declared it but doesn't make lot of sense to declare now, let them both make the centuries as they deserve it, specially bhajji
