very bad!! the pitches in Aus are always sporty and provide great matches where 2 wickets fall on the last 2 days. Its only in India that you get flat pattas which kill test cricket.:giggle:

No, it was just a **** pitch. A little disappointing really considering the first two days made for some riveting cricket, we thought we'd be in for a good contest.

Never said it was dying. But as soon as a few peopl finally turn out on mass for a test match in oz, then posters then priase them which is fine then in next breath condemn Indias grounds/attendances at matches. Aussies decline in attendances is well documented. It seems strange that no one wants to mention the pathetic attendances for SL when it did seem like one man and his dogs and SLs. So it seems auusies have great attendances when they play england but then others?? I have seen many half empty stadiums in oz when India tour despite the hype of oz delusionists. Indias attendances are on par with oz attendances imo. I repeat put a massive day 1 test against oz in Eden Gardens and the place would be packed and rocking. Fine praise aussies if you must but why have posters then said o india attendances are poor. Or pitch in auusies are great in india awful. Commenatotrs in oz brillinat but India no good blah blah. Loads of posters with misplaced lack of confidenece. Next posters will say Aussies are bettter team then us, some are even saying their spinner is good:hmmm:

You want a country with roughly the same population as the city of Mumbai to fill up HUGE stadiums on all 5 days of a game that is not even the most popular national sport, for all the games it plays, seriously? :headshake: If your expectation that Aussies should somehow pack the rafters for every day of all the cricket matches they play, then that is never going to happen.

But the point is that these Aussie fanboys still do not accept or admit that the attendance has been poor and has been declining for quite some time now and they feel that an attendance of 137000 for the 1st test of "The Ashes" is good enough in a stadium which can acomodate 210000 people at full capacity over 5 days.

I don’t know where you got that from. It could very well be the case, but as far as I know, they just sold out the first 3 days of a test match held in a near 50,000 capacity stadium, which is a pretty impressive feat. They didn’t turn out for the 4th and 5th day, which is understandable because they working days and game was meandering towards an inevitable draw, especially on day 5. And on a completely unrelated note, here’s something to tickle everyone’s guts. The Sky commentators were discussing the poor attendace of Aussie crowds on day 5 of the Gabba test and Ian Botham said something along the lines of ‘Generally, when we have test matches, the home crowds come in dressed as something right? Something like a fancy dress.. It seems like the Aussies have come in today dressed as plastic chairs..’.:hysterical:

lolz.. at whoever is defending aussie attendence. i just checked the tickets availability for the adelaide test at ticketek website. http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/Show.aspx?sh=TESTADEL11 only saturday is full. I can get tickets for all others days including sunday and for all stands. and i'm sure we'll see several empty or near empty stands in this match as well. cant figure why some1 would go head over heels to get a match ticket in july (did i hear that right?? july) that too for a match that doesn't involve india... :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
