The same Ganguly who backed players like Yuvraj, Bhajji, Zak, Viru, Irfan Pathan etc and now see where these players are. The same Ganguly who captained India after the very, very difficult period after the match fixing scandal. As far as Dhoni humbling Ganguly's W/L ratio is concerned, you have to remember that he's only captained 21 tests and also that teams like Aus, New Zealand etc have become very, very weak as compared to the time when Ganguly was captain so these stats DON'T tell the whole story.

We went in without Sach for the first match.. Rain screwed our chances in the 2nd match.. BTW ganguly captained only 1 match IIRC. And the same ganguly won the epic 2001 series against the strongest Aussie side EVER.

As I said we went n without tendiya in the 1st two tests. And 2nd tests was washed out, otherwisewe would've chased a relatively small target of 210 odd runs
