after losing second test to which bowlers will Australia have faith in picking 20 English Wickets ???? As we saw they dropped their best opening pair for a while after that mammoth 517/1 in the opening test now does Australia need Brett lee ?? Who announced in the series against SriLanka that he is fit and ready for selection ?? I personally think Bollinger is not Ideal test bowler where betsmen are patient and waiting for bad balls where as he has been very succesful T20 bowler b'coz of his line around that off stump where batsmen try to manufacture shots which are not there. Harris anyhow has impressed atleast me and should keep his place in 3rd Test at perth and Siddle also bowled well not that well but atleast better than johnson he bowled. Australia badly needs a spinner in their side to bowl England out at any ground any wicket and Doharty has not looked good at all forget Swann he has not matched the part timers North and Pieterson where they got ball to grip and turn and bounce aswell. if i was the captain i would go with these bowlers: Harris Hilfenhaus Siddle Haurtitz And North should be and will be dropped from playing II and i think Khwaja/ferguson will take no.6 slot.

It's a big decision we are faced with but quite frankly I don't have confidence in whichever line up is chosen to pick up 20 wickets. Lee has retired from test cricket so you can rule him out. I'd go with Bollinger/Harris/Hilfenhaus/Siddle or Johnson. I agree that North will be dropped, it would be a joke if he wasn't. No chance Ferguson will replace him, I think it will be either Smith or Khawaja.

Ferguson shouldnt be close, average of 36 in FC cricket isnt good enough. David Hussey or Khawaja for me, but seeing Hughes will probably open its probably a safer bet to include an experienced guy like D Hussey at 6. Bowling- who knows. Trent Copeland has amazing stats in shield cricket, 70 odd wickets or something at an average of 17 surely he deserves a go. Steve O'Keefe averages 24 with the ball and 48 with the bat, there are guys with good stats that deserve a go.

Copeland has the stats, unstoppable last season and this season so far. Dont rate all that highly myself, batting lineups are pretty weak at the moment around the country. Cameron white would be a dark horse for Perth, sooner he comes in sooner Clarke doesnt become captain next.

actually, if we look back australia's back was broken in 2007 when 4 legends retired i.e Macgrath,Warne,l Langer and Gilchrist. Its now we realizing it that it would have never happened that mcgrath and warne is in team and u cant get opposition bowled out on any surface.

Initially I thought Hughes for sure but given his FC average this year is just 21, where as Marsh's is 87 it has made me 50/50.

Johnson should be nowhere this team. He just seems completely out of sorts. I would meddle that much. Get Hauritz in and Hughes. Too many changes wont guarantee the result

My team would be Hughes/Marsh->Even I am not sure :-( Watson Ponting Clarke Hussey Khwaja->Rope him in now. This would be the real test of him Haddin Haurtiz->I know its a knee jerk reaction but he's better than Doherty and Smith Hilfenhaus->Was impressive in India and 1st innings in Gabba. Siddle Harris No point bringing in MJ in the side. His confidence is at all time low. I don't think he would be able to do anything special.

HE might be a wicket taking bowler but as of now he seems to be someone who is terribly down in confidence. He needs to go back to the drawing board and hone up his skills. This trend of him being in and out of the side would dent his confidence all the more.
