virufan Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 1st innings said it all. No match practice as there were no practice matches. Is this the first time that there were no pre test matches? What was the use of part indian team landing early in SA. What did they do there? Any benefit? Post your comments.

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts,Yes Administrators messed up but still there should have been some kind of gameplan going in to the match to atleast negate some of it. If the team arrived early and not played a match atleast they should have had some strategy as they might have had some idea about the pitch and wather.
hari504504 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Stint at Kirsten's academy was supposed to be helpful..unfortunately under dire conditions on day 1..the nets bowlers they faced there were school kids compared to Steyn and Morkel.. Even if India was in SA 2 months in advance it wouldn't have averted the day 1 collapse..
maniac Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Well the bizarre thing about the 1st day collapse was no one was playing it session by session, when they looked at the pitch and weather on the first day they must have at least had some target in mind.
