And im not sure he was calling Yuvraj an FTB, more the IPL generation, Raina, Kohli Vijay etc. And Saneindian maybe if he was a good enough pundit he would make it to the ashes coverage and said such things but maybe we will have to wait.

The OP did exactly what he intended to. Getting people's knickers in a twist. There was absolutely nothing wrong in what Croft said. He was talking about Raina & Yuvi as FTBs and unless they prove it otherwise they will be considered FTBs. He also said about how easy it was for young Indian players to get distracted with a Bollywood lifestyle considering that Indian fans treated them as heroes and how the Indian Management had dropped Yuvraj to make sure he gets his priorities right and comes back better

Look my problem is when experts single out Indian players as FTBs. On good bowling tracks every modern day batsman struggles irrespective of where he learnt his trade.

Pujara I guess is not... So is Rohit Sharma!!!!! who is good at tackling bouncers Murali Vijay is also class act just the next elegantmost youngster after RS and can be very good on bouncy tracks And offcourse let us not forget Kohli and Rahane who may be proved to be very good... All the mentioned players have FC average well above 55 as compared to the likes of UV and Raina who average only in mid 40's) Point is they don't chances in Test Cricket!!!! (Pujara 1 and Rohit None and MV very few) I don't understand what logic is used to give UV, Raina kind of players over Pujara, Rohit, Vijay, Rahane, Kohli kinda players a test spot... The latter are much more suited for test cricket I believe.

He is very much an FTB. Whats wrong with that statement ? No, I am not as annoyed with his poor scores as I am with the manner in which he got out. To think that Pujara is being kept out for this guy is appalling. Raina, for the shot he played when the game was on balance should be shown the door. I had hardly finished joking with my friend the other day that Ishant would play more deliveries in this series than Raina would & Bhajji would average more with the bat than Raina would. And then Raina plays this shot. This guy is not a top order bat. We are wasting our time with him.

so what??? its true...... on the evidence on 1st innings we played like pakis with there betting slips still in there pockets.... im a big yuvi fan being punjabi,but hes been overweight played poorly for some time!!!! ok hes lost weight now,but he needs to score runs and be more consistent,i feel it does our players good to be dropped,they need to be brought back to earth,they get made up so quick and then rest on there laurels! Our batters need more competition and to know if they dont perform consistently,there places will be in jeapordy!!!

Keeping Harbhajan who should be out of the team for bowling reasons and the jokes aside you are spot on with your assessment of Raina the Test bat. I fully concur. The key to what you said is the manner in which he is getting out. That is the most worrying factor than him getting out for a string of low scores which by the way can happen to the best of batsman.
