desi pride 1234 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 ^but Zaheer got only 1 wicket that too his bunny...so he is not culprit of lack of effort?? No? His pace was down since last game... But Sree who got two wickets and looked like getting more was not bowling well or somehow he was told not to bowl well..wow I am enlightened look.dont expect zaheer to bowl quick, he is aged enuf to be uncle. sree got two wickets but didnt had the same fire and the pace he showed in the second test match. his body language was not great , he is at his best when he is left free. but when dhoni comes out in the press conference and condems him, obviously its gonna affect him psychollogicaly. i didnt said he was told not to bowl well. all i am saying is sree was down with confidence, hence his bowling and fire was missing.
desi pride 1234 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 :facepalm:And i thought you were making sense with your previous posts. so u genius think that after getting old zaheer can bowl fast. :hysterical:
kabira Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 :hysterical: Where did i compare our bowling effort of the first test with that of 3rd test? You must be reading something else, My nightmare is Saffers bowling performance in the First test, the way they bowled on a Flat deck in the 2nd innings. Read the posts properly before calling anyone stupid Duh! This post "Exactly, the way they bowled on Flat Track of the 1st Test , the memories are giving me nightmares." If I read this, it makes me think you are talking about indian attach bowling on that flat track. and you had already agreed to the OP..But now you are changing your guard.
Andy Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 so u genius think that after getting old zaheer can bowl fast. :hysterical: Its not about Bowling fast, Zak is our main bowler and he is the reason we are no-1. He is the one who reverses the ball, and for that you need quite good pace. Am sure he had an off day and he will get back. Zak is our best bowler.

That post was in reply to This post, emphasise on the Bold Part. You must havent read it properly. Did you? sorry bro. i disagree. bowling at the pace of 128s is not gonna help. dont get carried away with the bounce. u will c the difference when saffies bowl. And about Agreeing with OP, I do agree about the advice on controlling his agression was unnecesary hence i said 'agreed'.

And about Agreeing with OP, I do agree about the advice on controlling his agression was unnecesary hence i said 'agreed'. ok I see what you meant now. But you said agreed. So you agreed that Sree was pathetic and he controlled his aggression..which I don't agree. Sree was sledging Amla, Kallis and company..Bhajji and Sachin had to keep him in focu.
desi pride 1234 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 ^again thats what you think. SS was getting out of control..when he was hit for 6, then 4 went thru the slip...Sachin and Bhajji calmed him and told him to keep doing what he is doing. Btw Zaheer was also down on pace..so why only SS is culprit?? the answer is in ur question itself. sachin and bajji calmed him down. tell me who calmed him down in the second test match when he was sledgin smith? so just leave him free.
kabira Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 ^then your point that Dhoni's remarks calmed him down don't make sense No?
desi pride 1234 Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 ^then your point that Dhoni's remarks calmed him down don't make sense No? well. if dhoni says these things in press conference, imagine what he would have said to sree in dressing room? do u think dhoni would not have said anything to sree... nah...
Fontaine Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Sree probably bowled better than he has for a long, long time. After his mediocre first spell he finally settled into a good place and consistently moved the ball both ways with very good seam position. He even cut down on his leg side wayward deliveries. This is exactly the way Sree should be bowling as a new ball bowler. Consistent, moving the ball and not giving away any easy runs.
Guest Gunner Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Whats with Referring Posters as 'Son' who you do not agree with? Andy please don't involve yourself in things which don't concern you, it creates unnecessary problems. Both the posters are adults they will deal with it if not they will report the post.

gaurav92 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Sree looked fired up and bowled with his heart out IMO.I don't think that only the outcome and wickets column should be a criteria to judge a bowler.Sree just got 2 wickets to show, but he bowled beautifully. He looked in rhythm for most part, but you just can't be menacing every single time, there is a time when you get tired and hence try some different tricks which perhaps don't quite go your way, but that doesn't mean one should come up with threads like these and whine about lack of efforts etc etc. Zak and Bhajji were somewhat off colour if you ask me, but its alright, we can't take away the fact that SAF applied themselves really well, and Kallis especially, took the game away from us with his subdued, calm, composed and very promising 81 (which looks like another three figure mark touchdown). It was a good track, some overcast conditions, but hey, our bowlers tried hard, didn't they ? I am sure they will come up with a much better performance today and get them out under 400 :nice:
gaurav92 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 You just did the same :hysterical::hysterical: Errr. He is THE MOD here.
