That's pretty much false. In this series how many wickets has Sree gotten because he's made the opposition lose their wicket due to his sledging? The only one that really comes to mind is Smith off the pull shot but even that's questionable. All the other wickets have come about through very good bowling. AND THAT'S IT. What you don't understand is that when Sreesanth bowls well it's when he concentrates on his bowling rather than sledging and other theatrics. Of ALL the sledging Sree has done in this series, it's got him all of ONE wicket maybe. The rest has been due to bowling well with a great seam position. The fact is when Sree gets over emotional, that's when he loses his bowling radar. It was pathetic watching him yesterday after two of his appeals were turned down and he got into an incident with the crowd. His bowling went back to being mediocre. How much of a headcase is he that usual distractions that EVERY bowler has to face such as crowd noise and turned down appeals make him lose concentration? It's no wonder seniors in the team have to baby sit this guy because he's acts like such a child.

What's more is that Sreesanth's theatrics end up hurting him more than anything else. What do you think is going to happen the next time he plays a test? I feel for sreesanth, i think he is giving his best to the team in-spite of that he is always targeted. Why it is wrong when sree does it, remember nel? who has ugly face and do horrible things than sree but he is not targeted? When bowlers like nel or lee or stetn does it he is upsetting batsmen and taking wickets and they will be quoted 'what a clever bowler'. poor sreesanth. I do support him.

I must say I agree with every word you have written. I have no idea about what is up at ToI, for a North-South war on something like this is unnecessary. I like the way you've written and presented your take player-by-player.

Way to miss the point, Einstein. No one is saying Sree is absolutely right and Dhoni is absolutely wrong. All I, and a few others, are asking for is not to deal with this issue publicly and hang a juicy steak in front of the rabid media. A captain, among other things, needs to ensure to the outside world that everything in the dressing room is all fine and dandy, even when it actually is not. Ricky Ponting's teammates seemed to get that memo when they put their foot down and didn't give anything to the media after the Ponting-Dar fracas and our captain couldn't resist being a boy-scout. Enough said! And a word of advice: Refrain from using the "hysterical" smiley when you're swinging and missing almost every time. I don't see any reason for you to gloat at your ineptitude to grasp what's being said or posting a cogent response. So according to you ("for the benefit of the team, opposition, public, poor children of Africa, natural calamity victims etc."), Kumble was wrong in supporting Harbhajan after the Monkeygate and actually Kumble should'be publicly reprimanded him (onfield and in the post match interviews) for all his past and present ancitcs? Kumble should've LOLed at Bhajji (on field) when he complaind about crowd trouble and sledging by Aussie players? Kumble should've given Harbhajan a public dressing down for being a pest throughout?
