After the slapgate incident during the first edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008, India pacer S Sreesanth broke down once again during the ongoing tour of South Africa , it was reported on Wednesday. It is believed that the Kerala pacer was in tears after getting a blast from Mahendra Singh Dhoni , despite his brilliant showing with the ball in the third and final Test. Sreesanth took five for 119 on Tuesday, which helped India dismiss South Africa for 362 on Day 2, to give his team hopes of securing their first ever Test series win in that country. According to sources, Sreesanth was reduced to tears in the team hotel in Durban after Dhoni gave him a dressing down. The Indian captain was angry after his opposite number Graeme Smith alleged that Sreesanth had made personal comments about his mother and Paul Harris' wife. It is learnt that Dhoni assured the Proteas skipper at a function prior to the Cape Town Test that there wouldn't be a repeat 'performance' from Sreesanth. Dhoni felt that the temperamental fast bowler was responsible for the team's slow over-rate. Sources within the team reveal that some team members also made fun of Sreesanth and treat him like a rank outsider by often humiliating him in the dressing room. Prior to the final Test, Dhoni too admitted that Sreesanth 'is difficult to control'. "I told him before this match (at Durban), if you take six-seven minutes to bowl an over, it will be difficult to pick you in the side. I asked him to finish his overs quickly. As a captain, you need to always have him under control. It is good for everyone, not only for him, for our team, for the opposition, umpires and spectators," Dhoni said. http://www.rediff.com/cricket/report/india-sa-tour-2010-indias-cry-baby-sreesanth-at-it-again/20110105.htm

Did anything happen between Sreesanth and his team mates? Hello guys, I was at college so couldn't watch the match today, Sreesanth bowled very well in the first inning but in the second inning he too none. Lots of people on twitter are ridiculing Sreesanth today, some are saying that he doesn't have any friends in indian team, did any indian player do anything to him on the ground today and did something happen between sreesanth and harbhajan? Were the crowd also jeering sreesanth?

i dont know if the stories are true but one thing is clear, sree is definitely not liked by most indian players why is it that harbhajan always screams his lungs off at the guy when the ball goes to him on the boundary but doesnt behave like that with anyone else.

If ever there was a classic case of making a mountain out of a mole-hill, this is probably it. This is a group of 15 different players who didn’t know each other till they were well in their 20s. What did you guys expect, that everyone loves everyone else? Of course there’s going to be personality clashes and differences of opinion. Everyone knows Sreesanth is a little immature, but they also know is that he’s the ultimate team-man who will give his everything on the field. You got to take the good with the bad. I am sure everyone in the team, especially the seniors, treat him like a younger brother – constantly in his ears, telling him to keep his emotions in check and show restraint. That said, it is VERY VERY odd for Dhoni to reveal what is essentially private conversation b/w him and his bowler to the media. Dhoni is the sort of guy who wouldn’t open his mouth even if there was brawl in the dressing room. Sree’s shenanigans must have really frustrated him.

cause the others would just ignore him. Sreesanth has an ego, part of the package - we can either live with it or replace him with Unadkat and Praveen Kumar who will each avg >45-50 in tests

actually i have seen bhajji doing it with lots of other players as well, i think the other indian bowlers should give him back when he's fielding

Sportsmen don't have to like to each other but should be professional enough to play for the team and put in a good performance. It's obvious Dhoni has his favourites and that Sree is not part of that clique. He obviously prefers wasters like Sharma who always seem to get picked despite consitently dreadful performances.

wtf is wrong with him? Can't believe he cried again in the dressing room, it's good that other players are making fun of him, he deserves that to have such a foul mouth.

Poor sree, feel for him. Every time he comes to bowl, bends his back and give his 100% , though inconsistent at times. In spite of that, captain saab don't like him and gives a public bashing.

Sreesanth fined 10% of his match fees for kicking the boundary rope!! News channels showing this news. Can't believe this. A guy being fined for kicking the rope? Smith waves his bat at Sree and goes scott free and here you have a player being fined for kicking the boundary rope!! Andy Pycroft is a legend.

Dhoni you ****** F Off. You are captain and treat a player who has played a hero for the team like this. Disgusting
So according to you, its not the bowler’s fault that he takes nearly 6-7 minutes to complete an over and risks having the captain suspended for a slow over-rate, repeatedly acts in an immature manner by pointlessly needling opposition players and disrupts team rhythm, but it’s the captain’s fault for pointing these out?

And then pubicly revealing this NO!! Big Nos Nos as Captain. Disgusting in fact considering the unbelivable commitment sree has shown with terrific results
