Gambo, YP, Kallis, Morgan, Shakib, Brett Lee, Tiwary and Haddin are more than decent picks. After all the important players have been sold their decisions to spend money on the big available Indian guns make a lot of sense. They have got 8 players of which 7 are quality players and still left with some money in their purse. Gambo, YP, Shakib, Lee and Tiwary are sure to play in nearly all matches unless unfit and so they are good picks on hindsight. Saffers also normally do not keep any series clashing with IPL and so Kallis would also probably play in most matches and provide both batting as well as bowling services. Haddin and Morgan are a bit doubtful but at least 1 of them will probably have no international commitment during IPL and so their chances are also good. So, 7 of the 8 picks they have made will almost play for sure and that is not a bad thing in hindsight. They have got hold of two quality allrounders and two wicketkeeper batsmen. 3 Indian batters also add up to that. That is a balanced side as of now. They now need a few Indian bowlers and the team might pan out quite well to be frank. That looks a very good lineup at least on paper. MI picks are also good on hindsight except Rohit though they might have bought him for the local boy factor. Their team is panning out well too as is Sahara Pune Warriors. CSK is looking like the same team of the last editions and they have almost bought back their purchases. Even Kochi is not looking that bad now.
