CG Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 In 2007 worldcup we had Zaheer khan,Agarkar,Munaf patel,Bhajji leading our attack and after 4 years we again have the same attack with nehra in place of agarkar,Bhajji.we will lose the cup if we do not select ishant, sree, yadav or any other youngster as giving proven failures chance after chance is idiotic.
jf1gp_1 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 yes i agree lets also drop proven WC failures like sachin, sehwag , yuvraj and dhoni as well

You are an idiot. They are the best among our inherently weak fast bowling department.
jf1gp_1 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 You are an idiot. They are the best among our inherently weak fast bowling department. i am tired of this listening to how weak our fast bowlers are or in general our bowling is. Please name country which has the best bowling lineup today 1. SA - styen centric no spinner 2. SL - again malinga centric , randiv has shown promise but lacks experience 3. Aus - Inconsistent, no spinner 4. Eng - Maybe best of lot, but there bowling line up looks more or less like Indian lineup 5. NZ, WI - no idea who will showup for world cup 6. Pak - akhtar is a liability, no spinner, rest are inconsistent
diegovegaz Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 it was zak that messed up in the 2003 final it was zak who was clobbered by young tamim iqbal in 2007 lets see what he has in store for us this time as for bhajji, he should definately make way for ashwin, for us to have any chance in this edition munaf, sree or pk are the 3rd seamer options the man who could have made a great difference, is nowhere in the picture rp'swing' as he used to be known, great with the new ball, lethal at death

All of the other nations fast bowling are better than ours. Regarding spinners, it is basically Murali in one league while the likes of Harbhjan,Botha being in the average league.
bihutoli Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 You are all idiots, we have always and will always continue to rely on batsmen to win us odi games. Bowlers are only meant for window dressing imo. And rightly so too, since the odi pitches all over the world generally tend to take bowlers out of the equation. So unless you are an outstanding bowler like Steyn I might as well play Sir Ajit Agarkar instead of you.
gaurav92 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Its after all a batsman's game so batting clearly has the edge over bowling, so stop calling each other idiots and concentrate on the upcoming mega event :bb:

I think very much true in case of at least Indian bowlers...How many matches have Indian bowlers have won in recent times..if batting fails we invariably lose the game unless some miracle..remember Sharjah Miracle in 1985...I don't think that is possible now. But we still need decent bowlers who can bowl in tandem and keep opposition from reaching humongous totals.
nballa Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 it went from average to mediocre to pathetic and now back to average. yes full circle.
