Play aggressive cricket in the next two matches

I have been saying this from the first match itself. The reason we are facing so many critical situation in this ODI series is because we are playing defensive after Veeru's exclusion. We have been so successful not for our defensive batting but attacking batting. Veeru used to give us the blazing starts but we seem to have gone in a shell after he was injured. Be a man and start playing our normal attacking batting at the start. Playing defensively has anyways not helped us at all and we anyways loose the two openers without any runs on the board. I would say send Yusuf Pathan at the start and tell him to play his natural game. He might not have the best technique but he would be very effective in PP overs when even his mishits would go to the fence with only 3 fielders outside the 30 yards circle. Anyways he cannot do worse than the quota Vijay who has been getting chances again and again to only perform only bad to worse. In most probability Yusuf would score a lot more than Vijay who finds it difficult to score in double digits even after being an opener and has got an incredible average of 17 with an unbelievable strike rate of 61 in ODIs. To be fair enough Yusuf can be more lethal than even Veeru on his day and if he lasts for the first and second powerplay then he would probably already be nearing his hundred. :giggle: So, go on the attacking form and send YP and Kohli/Rohit to bat instead of Vijay. Take the attack to the saffers at the start of the Indian winnings and do not keep things for the last moments.

If the team had played aggressive cricket today as per my first post I made two matches ago then we would have won the game. I still dont understand why YP was not given a chance to open the innings in the last two matches instead of Rohit who is a consistent non-performer. The result of the last two matches might have changed completely if we had played aggressive cricket as advised in my first post of this thread. MSD is not an intelligent captain anymore and is making a lot of dull decisions without any common sense. We needed a Veeru sort of start to win the last two matches and not a Rohit sort of negative start like we did.
