Not televised as far as I know, certainly not in Aus, Eng or NZ. I have a few Wi friends and they tell me cricket in the WI wasnt even properly broadcast until around 1987/88, before that its really average stuff, one or two cameras, no commentary etc. Hence why there's not much footage of the great 80's WI team IN the WI in the 80's.

All the more reason I wanna see Fire in Babylon
Robelinda Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 There's bits and pieces of stuff from the 80's in WI, like Englands 1981 tour, and Englands 1985/86 tour, but its poor stuff indeed. No idea why it wasnt broadcast properly. First footage ive seen that can be considered good is of NZ's tour to WI in 87, and then India's tour in 89 which I have some video of. Englands Sky pay tv company broadcast the 1990 tour themselves and every tour to WI since, so from 1990 the broadcasts have been much higher quality. Channel 9 here in Aus went over and broadcast the 1991 tour themselves too.
