^ Well if PK (or any of the first choice 4 for that matter) was to be injured Sree was always going to be the replacement. Vinay Kumar and Umesh Yadav has done nothing to show they are international class, though they should be given a bit of a longer rope maybe. RP has been very poor in domestic cricket (albeit perhaps not in ltd overs cricket)... there is no one else... Well apart from Ishant :fear: Yeah Sree is not a good ODI bowler but no choice, now is not the time to go for someone new. PK was a handy new ball bowler, will be missed

Sreesanth is a better bowler and entertainer also more faster. Good for India.
You have a point. Here are two bowlers that are border line in the home conditions for the One day game. One a trundler that can attain maximum speeds of up to 117kmph and may be if there are wind gusts blowing in the direction he is bowling he may touch 118kmph whom no batsman really takes seriously that is a huge turn off with his shirt not tucked in ambling into bowl. The other more action oriented running at full throttle ball in and ball out and staring right at the batsman that can egg the average fan on in the stadium especially at home that can get you the same kind of a result. So who would want in that case. You are damn right. I would pick the entertainer. Good for India without an iota of a doubt. The next generation has spoken. You got it kid!!!!

Sreesanth is definately better entertainer than P.Kumar but seroiusly not as good as Praveen in ODI's. P.Kumar is the best Indian bowler who bowls swinging deliveries[inswing/Outswing] with trumendous control than any of the Indian bowler, yes he lacks pace but his swing deliveries are more wicket taking than srees aggration. India will definately miss PK when they are bowling unser lights in D/N games. I have seen him bowling 7/8 overs for 20 ODD runs & picking 1/2 wkts but its full opposed to Sreesanth where he has great seam position but no control at all & may even go for 70 ODD runs on these flat bullies tracks against good teams like AUS/SA/SL who likes to play aggrassively & sree is same as well. Big Loss to INDIA is of Praveen this.

Agree with that. Sree was the best option available.

PK is a vastly superior ODI bowler. His pace doesnt matter as he is a canny mover of the ball both ways and is accrurate. Sree cant get his length right in ODI cricket. he is a fine test bowler when on song. But not a ODI bowler. We should just hope that no one gets injured and Nehra, Munaf and Zak are bolwing well. And im not sure their appearances and histrionics matter too much.

Vinay Kumar can be a very handy ODI bowler, either opening the bowling or in the middle overs. In the slow-low subcontinental conditions, it is actually quite hard to get these medium pacers away ,especially if they’re opening the bowling and have reasonable control over line and length. The more pace you have on the ball during the initial overs, the better it is for the batsmen. Vinay Kumar can easily emulate someone like Vaas or or the B’deshi opening bowler, Syed Rasel(?). The trouble will come if they try to bowl him in the death, like they did against Australia late last year and Cameron White absolutely mullered him.

his career economy is 6.that means wen hes going for run-ball,hes not doing bad by his standards.nothing more needs to be said. batsmen just need to take initial risks,if they come off,Sree will get angry n try all sorts of things n be a buffet of over 7 runs per over atleast. pathetic option,not just bad,would have preferred even Agarkar
IN INDIAN PITCHES ECONOMY Sreesanth-6+ Praveen-6+ AVERAGE Sreesanth-27 Praveen-67 :giggle::finger:
