Actually, Sri Lanka does need to be appreciated. The country itself thrashes minnows comprehensively, that is a positive trait. Sometimes India lets minnows have their share of glory, but not so SL. They thrash minnows the same way Obelix thrashes Romans :winky: Given that the WC is on flat tracks, I think they have an extremely high chance of winning the world cup 2011.

Veeru plays a high risk game, when the ball is moving, as he is the opener, and Mahela comes at no.4 when the ball has become relatively old and it wont swing that much. Also Avg. in Aus against arguably the best bowling attack is phenomenal, its above his usual career average.So saying Mahela's record is better than Veery is utter gayness :hahaha:

Brisbane agreed, but Perth is not all that difficult, you get good pace and bounce in the track and it makes it a lil easier to score if you love the ball coming on to the bat. Ironically, SAF chased 414 at Perth with just 3 wickets down. Aus got to 340 while chasing 413 against India in 08 (IIRC) so its not all that difficult for batting :D
