I don't see much of a difference here! I loved FF3 and FF4 is just a better looking or more like a "CHROME" looking version of the same sh1t. It's not faster than the later one for sure. I have been using FF for over 7 years now.

What are some of the legit tests? Right now I just updated all three browsers and FF wins for me and IE follows very closely. Chrome is very laggy on my system for some reason.

It has all features as Firebug.. chromex.jpg
And as web developer? Disable scripts, styles, etc. highlight individual DOM elements? Monitoring AJAX calls, script, DOM changes?

I think the performance of a browser on a particular computer depends upon the configuration of the computer. I've used Chrome, IE9 &FF4 and have found Chrome to be much faster than the other two while some other people say the FF4 is faster and yet others maintain that IE 9 is the best :dontknow:

From my experience, Chrome is faster than Firefox. However, I have noticed something that whenever I access a site https:, Chrome gets really really slow.So therefore, I think Firefox is better Anyone had the same experience.

Did I miss something? I only get 15 fps. Very bad?/
Graphic acceleration works better on windows 7 and obviously your graphic card might be old. Also try blizzard test, I get 350 with FF4 and 2800 with IE9. IE9 does graphic better than both FF4 and Chrome combined, too bad it only works on windows 7.

Installed IE9 today and it is lightning fast for sure. Did not install Firefox beta though as it is my main browser with lots of addons and used for most of my work. So, need a stable browser for that but hope Firefox 4 is as speedy as IE9 especially after its stable version is released. But I doubt addons will make it slower than a basic no addons only install.

Firefox 4 is out of beta and they released the stable version today. They just sent me the release message and I have installed Firefox 4 now. I have to say that it is simply awesome. IE 9 is again behind FF after the release of FF 4 now. FF 4 is lightning fast for use as OP mentioned. And that too with tons of addons that I use. It is the fastest browser without a doubt. The interface also looks a lot more sleeker now and it is at least 3-4 times faster if not more. It is faster than IE 9 from the initial usage.
