Switchblade Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 If India hadn't crashed out of the 2007 tourney in the group stages he would have been closer to 2500 runs by now :(( That was a disaster all the players looked unsettled
Ultimate_Game Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 That was a disaster all the players looked unsettled Thank Chappell for that one  If he had allowed Tendulkar to move up the order things would have been different. We faced the same issue in the 2003 world cup and things changed when Tendulkar was moved up the order but Chappell the egoist didn't learn from the past. Good he's involved with Cricket Australia now :--D

Ultimate_Game Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Problem with him was that he remained rather hogged the spotlight always wanted to remain in media for one reason or another As I said Chappell has an ego bigger than Mervyn Hughes and David Boons' combined appetite

Ashraful_Rox Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Congratulations Sachin Tendulkar, you are the reason why India came so ahead in cricket, once you retire India will be like Bangladesh. One man army I salute
Jersey #10 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 ^India won the world cup when Sachin was 10 years old... Troll Alert
Ultimate_Game Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Congratulations Sachin Tendulkar' date=' you are the reason why India came so ahead in cricket, [b']once you retire India will be like Bangladesh. One man army I salute India under 19 team will kick B'desh's **** at the moment. Tendulkar wasn't in the team along with Sehwag, Zaheer, Harbhajan etc. in SA and we still nearly won the series - if it were B'desh it would be 5-0. What is B'desh's record against India again? Isn't it 20 odd to 2? And even one of those victories came when we had players like Reetinder Singh Sodhi in the team! The only thing B'desh has managed against us (including Tests, odis and T20s) is to win one match in 2007 cup where Chappell was the man behind the scenes. After that hiccup we are back - No. 1 in Tests, no. 2 in odis and won T20 cup. Before making such idiotic statements at least check the history. India won the world cup in 83, won the World Cricket Championship in 85 - yup it was a mini world cup with ALL the test teams competing in Aus and we beat Eng, Aus, NZ and Pak to win that tourney. Plus we have won Asia Cup around 5-6 times where we have kicked your butt time and again. Better pray that you beat Netherlands coz at the moment Ireland is more competitive than ur pathetic team and would probably kick ur ass in Tests as well.

Have been hearing "Bangladesh is an improving side" but guess what - haven't seen that yet. Not in tests, not in odis or even T20s!!! B'desh's only fame to success was beating a 2nd X1 windies team which had tough time to even assemble the team due to contractual issues and then the series win over a pretty lousy NZ team which the India B team managed to beat 5-0.
