Youd think that the reasons given here for the dearth of pace bowler captains things like injury and having to bowl etc should apply to a greater degree to allrounders given that they have to bowl too. I imagine it is quite tiring being a paceman and as has been pointed out they are best without that added burden. Going back I can only think of Wasim as a bowler- captain...Pollock skippers Saf for a while too WK-Skippers are more frequent...spinner skippers are reasonably frequent too
