Bangladesh or West Indies: Who is more deserving?

On Saturday the fate of Bangladesh in the World Cup is decided, and the West Indies will be watching keenly as well. A South African win will ensure the West Indies will reach the quarters, while a Bangladesh win will mean that the Indies will have to beat a vengeful Indian team Since it is unlikely that the West Indies will have much of a chance against India on a track which suits the Indians perfectly, they will be looking for SA to do the job of knocking Bangladesh out of the cup The question is, who deserves that fourth spot more? The West Indies crushed Bangladesh at home, and have played some excellent cricket, while Bangladesh were able to bounce back from a terrible defeat to beat England. Tell me, who is more deserving of that fourth spot in the quarters, and thus, who will you be supporting come Saturday?

West Indies has a decent team that can upstage any team on their day. Especially the teams that don't have half decent spinners. Bangladesh is still playing like minnow. 58 all out is the worst performance by any batting side in this world cup and also 370/4 is the worst performance by any fielding side in this world cup.

Whichever team finishes higher on the points table deserves it more...no more to it. The format of this tournament is such that you can't blame bad luck for not making it to the quarter finals. West Indies deserves it more, they have some good phaaast bowlers in Russel and Roach, also they weren't thrashed by any opposition, can be a challenge for Aussies in Quarterfinals. Also West Indies brutally balatkared BD for 58 runs so you know.

Same feelings here. Windies have a pretty good team and will make it a very interesting QF. They are more exciting and you never know what to expect from them. If Chanderpaul was playing against England I'm pretty sure that Windies would have won that game as well.

I don't believe that any team deserves anything, you get what you deserve. If Bangla can beat SA then they will make the QF but if they don't then they won't make it thus they don't deserve it.

Bangladesh made a huge mistake by losing against West India with such a huge margin. That was must win game for them but their captain said it wasn't and he got a deserving result. But still in their hands.
