Did the lack of Afridi's characteristic behavior have anything to do with IPL coming up ?

Lets leave the Poor Guy alone and appreciate him for his on the field behaviour . Never rated him as anything like a complete player but look at the way he has come on the big stage , he has given the best performance by a distance by any single player in the tournament . Afridi's performance with the ball reminds me of performance of Sachin in 96 and 2003 where he was the only one who performed consistently right through out the tournament and yet ended on the losing side . Imagine when many of the greats buckle under the pressure of captaincy , Afridi has managed the opposite , he has become even more stronger with added responsibility . Afridi is a True champion and lets give him the credit

I never thought I'd say this, but Afridi has matured tremendously as a captain and a bowler in this world cup (still bats brainlessly though). His temperament looked more and more like that of a leader in the latter stages of the tournament. He stopped criticizing the players in public, didnt make OTT statements. His bowling was very good too.

Ya ya, you know ya, bwaais is play wull in IP-al. Zehniyat of Indiaaa peoples is also become good. Thanks to India fans, we get IP-al contract, ya ya. Afridi is a rang-badlu girgit. Typically like most people from that part of the world.

++ But Afridi is not captaincy material. Younis Khan should take up the captaincy.

I think he has matured with age. His words did seem genuine though and of course did no harm to his IPL chances.
Exactly how old is he? There are rumours that he is much closer to 40 than 30 :cantstop:
