"Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan has announced that he would be retiring from ODI cricket after tomorrow's World Cup Final against Sri Lanka. The left armer who has taken 271 wickets in 190 matches has been India's standout bowler in this World Cup, picking up 19 wickets. He said that he wanted to concentrate more on the longer version of the game and has been mulling over this decision for the last few days." :hatsoff::hatsoff: Outstanding bowler. His contribution to Indian cricket has been immense.

Announcement made on "1st April"? ;)
so, the World Cup Final is tomorrow, if he has to make an announcement its obviously not going to be on the day of the final itself.

Even if was meant as a April Fools thread which to me is getting sillier across forums ZK better retire after the WC. If not his aching and injury prone body will do it for him. Despite the attempt at humor if it is the case I do not see any value add for ZK to continue in the ODI's regardless of what happens tomorrow. A loss - time to move on. A win - Nothing more to play for. So ZK's swansong along with SRT's and few others in ODI's coming up tomorrow.
