team selection was surprising. he was scared to play mendis, who was a key bowler for them throughout the tournament. and he also left out herath, who would have offered something different from the other spinners.

Herath? No way.. he's not necessarily a wicket taking bowler. Mendis, yes the UDRS is a plus thing for him. Also the dew factor would have helped him to skid his deliveries (only if he can control it).. something to look at in future day/night games. They should have tried Dilhara in the early part of the tournament against minnow teams. But it's too late to pick him straight away for this final. Anyway I don't think 275 is a good score on that wicket.. 300 is the minimum.
