And of course who can forget those glorious tournaments and matches in Sharjah under the able stewardship and guidance of Dawood Ibrahim and Bukhatir! Somehow I can't figure out how a record of 18-4 or something like that at Sharjah led to a winless record in world cups. I mean one loss can be luck, twice can be coincidence but 5 times!!! But I'm sure Pakistan will be back on its feet as soon as they are able to host matches in Sharjah once again. Maybe Paki fans can also elaborate on how the advent of neutral umpires had an adverse impact on Pakistan's home record. I mean before the neutral umpires Pakistan were nearly invincible at home but after the neutral umpires were introduced the same "great Pakistan side of 90s" were beaten by Zim, SL, Aus and Eng at home!!! In fact they nearly lost a series to B'desh at home as well if Rashid Latif hadn't cheated and copped a 5 match ban.

This decade things have changed substantially and India has soared way ahead. I can't blame Pak. posters taking comfort from past achievements esp. considering the last 4 years for them both in cricketing and non cricketing terms.
