Cricket Tragic
I think that England is going to be a lot tougher than what people imagine. Link to comment
Karan114
I'm just hoping that the huge masse of Indian fans don't do anything stupid if and when the predictions do not turn the way they are projected out to be in this thread. Yeah, because the huge masses of Indian fans are absolutely obsessed with Test cricket. Link to comment
punjabi_khota
In England, we need at least one of Dravid or Sehwag to fire. Both have some questions to answer...:acute: Can't have 30/2 in every innings Link to comment
Cricket Tragic
Hope that Sehwag is fit to start with. Link to comment
wanted_desi
Hope that Sehwag is fit to start with. But isn't he playing in IPL? :nervous: Link to comment
fineleg
Whether Viru makes the Eng tour and his form in Tests will be the key to the results there. The other key being ZK - his bowling form will be absolutely critical. Link to comment
saneindian
Since 2006, we have done well in nearly all the test series outside Asia. 2006- WI won 1-0 (could have won 3-0) 2006- SA lost 1-2 (could have won the 3rd test) 2007 England- won 1-0 (could have won the 3rd test) 2008- Australia - lost 2-1 (should have won 2-1 but for B&B disaster) 2009- NZ won 1-0 (could have won the 3rd test) 2010- SA draw 1-1 (could have won the 3rd test) With some luck and some aggressive captaincy (2 tests in WI, 3rd test in Eng, NZ and SA in 2010), we could have won all these away series and a few more away tests! The next two series will be no different. We should win both of them. Talking of the England series, in 2007 we had a batting line up of Jaffer, DK, Dravid, Sachin, VVS, Ganguly and MSD, the current line up of Gambhir, Sehwag/Vijay, Dravid, Sachin, VVS, Pujara/Rohit/Yuvraj, MSD is definitely better than the line up of last time especially due to the form of Sachin, Gauti and VVS. The bowling line of Zak, Ishant, Sreesanth and Bhajji IMO is again better than Zak, Sree, RPS and Kumble. Yes England are an improved side too especially with their top order batting, but given our track record in England, we should do well. And thankfully unlike some of the last few away tours, we have a practice match too, in fact two of them one before the 1st test and the other after the 2nd test.! Link to comment
