IKnowU Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Its unfair to criticize the players or the franchises How can you make proper decisions on how to construct your team when you have to get your players through an auction? Its a fking joke of such a 'professional league' auctions off its most valuable assests like cattle. Theres is no strategy other then to keep bidding or move onto the next one. No one is to blame for this other the IPL babus itself.

Ditto. His base price was $50,000 he doesn't deserve a single penny more than that, instead DC paid him a whopping $900,000 !! Absolute brainfart.

Absolute brainfart.[/quote'] They had the money to blow. They still ended up with the most cash left at the end of the auction. But I starting to give up on this league if they keep on integrating new talent and players through this medieval technique of auctioning them off. Deccan had no choice other than to rebuild. Gilchrist - old Symonds - washed up Rohit - didnt want to be retained(payed off for him) They had no other choice but to go back and start all over again. I wont judge any organization until a more professional system and rules are in place in the future before blasting various organizations off with their choices. No matter how good teams are every year, they will always be only one winner.
veer Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 the whole IPL is overhyped and overpaid event.. deal with it.
