Misbah replaces Afridi as ODI captain

I'm probably equally as disappointed at YK being brought back into the ODI team.

Afridi was given Test+ODI+T20 captaincy, he voluntarily refused to continue in Test, rightly so... and somehow manages to do well as ODI captain, unites the team, qualifies for WC SF, manages to win ODI series right after it. still sacked... Misbah who fails to win a Test series against one of most poor Test side and a man who even struggles to be included in ODI 11, given captaincy of Test+ODI A genuine Test player (& captain) like Younis Khan is dropped from Test team and included in ODI team. "Pakistan Confused Board"...

I agree with this. Can't see the reason to have both Misbah and YK in the ODI middle order.

Though not a fan of Afridi but find it baffling that under Afridi they won the one day series in Nz and Westindies and qualified for Semi Finals so how or what was the thought behind making Misbah the captain

Maybe, I just don't think Waqar likes Afridi. I remember he tore into Afridi while commentating int he 5th ODI against SA in 2007. Pakistan needed 15 runs off 25 balls with 3 wickets remaining to win the series. Afridi batted like Afridi and Pakistan lost.

@gotham ya i remember that game they had Afridi and Misbah at the crease and Albie got 2 in 2 and then Pakistan lost by 15

so the circus continues. Afridi won the ODI series in WI.. Lost the Semi Final World cup match largely due to Misbah ul-tuk..Pakistan just lost a test match under Misbah's captaincy.. and now Afridi get's thrown out of captaincy to be replaced by Misbah. What the heck is wrong with these people? I knew Pakistanis were dumb.. but didn't realize it was so abysmal.
