dude ,he doesn't understand T-20 . On a serious note ,I don't think he is T20 material .

But he asked about CSK.
Do you mean to say Dhoni had a strong team compared to what Ganguly had? If Ganguly could turn around Indian team of 90's why couldn't he do the same with KKR? Ganguly did jack as a captain in IPL and he would have done the same with any other team.

Ofcourse Raina, Vijay, ashwin, Badri, Look at the Indian talent. Lets not even talk about the Foreign talent.

Because Ganguly included the players he wanted, he didnt get the team he wished to have, Even if there were some wrong selections in a series Ganguly could have selected other players who didnt play before, that never worked in IPL. Here once you buy a team, you need to suck with it for 3 years. And the comparison is between Gauti and Ganguly, Not Dhoni and Ganguly. With Gauti leading DD last year they didnt even make to the semis. what do you make of that?

Assumption? He did pretty well with the resources he had, if Ganguly had the same team he could have done the same if not better.

May not be as a player, But leadership skills are similar in every format NO?

Ofcourse Raina' date=' Vijay, ashwin, Badri, Look at the Indian talent. Lets not even talk about the Foreign talent.[/quote'] Vijay, Ashwin and Badri were nobodies when IPL started. And CSK had only Hayden as a trump player. You are still trying to make it like Ganguly had some *****y players in his team. VVSL and DZ already explained your million posts about how many good players KKR had in the first three seasons. And you were the one who brought Dhoni into this argument. I implied Dhoni could make any team formidable, given his track record in international cricket and IPL. If you want to compare Gambhir and Ganguly, Gambhir took his team to Playoffs in two attempts, which Ganguly couldn't. As simple as that. What is this pretty well? Finishing 6th and 7th?

Well played KKR - For the first time they stayed relavent through most of the tournament and picked quality players like RTD and Shakib. They have potential to do well in the future :nice:

KKR's managment has been poor : first they didn't gives any opportunity to Ten : at the beginning of IPL gambhir played with 2/3 foreigners where Ten was benching . + they never use his bowling , he is a good T20 bowler. Then the case of sakib , he doesn't get as much match as he should have played , + batting at the tail. + they give to much respect to Morgan , who has failed miserably I think player must be selected according to their ability not their nationality + KKR ability to lost winning game : 1st game against csk and the last againt MI

Talent speaks, enough said. Other KKR players who are doing well outside KKR , I have admitted they were good.

Not *****y but not much better than what Ganguly achieved in two seasons, actually most of the players were unavailable, VVS and DZ were shown how many were available for how many matches. So rather than going with their posts come up something of your knowledge. Dhoni is the best currently, But my point was if he was asked to make NZ champions I bet he cant because he doesnt have much talent to work with.

But kallis is also a bowler, which means you have another bat who hopefully can come in and make up for the tuk-tukness. Anyways, it is all fine to claim that he had a worse team, no one can tell for sure. A captain is measured by the success/failure of his team, end of story. Ganguly had 3 years to take them to the playoffs, he failed. Gauti did it in the first year. So it is fair to say that KKR are better off without Dada.

Agree completely, Kallis provides massive balance.

Yes But not with replacements like Gambhir, they need a Good leader. Gambhir is a great batsman, But an ordinary leader.
