Give him a few more chances if it doesn't work no one is going to fault the decision to drop him. That's all I am saying.

Sometimes it's not about the numbers and statistics alone. If stats & numbers were the sole criteria for giving a longer run to a player then Atapattu and Steve Waugh wouldn't have had much of an intl career. You only have to look at Rohit and Kohli bat to see the talent and potential. In Vijay's case the only run scoring shot he seems to have is that across the line shot/slog/hoick between wide long on and mid wicket area. In Tests he can bide his time and wait for a bad ball to arrive but in shorter format he is exposed against better bowlers.
