yoda Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 :hahaha: :hysterical::hysterical: Vijay is explosive ? :hysterical::hysterical: Dude my farts after eating a bowl sambhar are more explosive than Vijay .
Ranjha Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 its just tamasha cricket. eating sambhars and dosas cant give u nuff energy to be explosive. but dhoni is a legend..madrasis should thank him.
anotherhawkeye Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Vijay made a believer out of me in this match. He found the right match to come big. :hatsoff:
Ultimate_Game Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Vijay made a believer out of me in this match. He found the right match to come big. :hatsoff: The only way he will "convert" majority of Indian fans is if he performs in a similar vein at intl level against decent opposition (Aus, SA, Pak, SL, NZ, Eng, WI). Until then he's a domestic/IPL bully in the shorter format.
Ranjha Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 The only way he will "convert" majority of Indian fans is if he performs in a similar vein at intl level against decent opposition (Aus' date=' SA, Pak, SL, NZ, Eng, WI). yoda Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 I agree. Vijay is a nobody at intl level and will be cleaned up every single time. Dude, we are talking IPL here in this forum, in case you have forgotten and there is no bigger stage than the finals in this tournament. So take your hate some where else. :finger:
The Dark Horse Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 I agree. Vijay is a nobody at intl level and will be cleaned up every single time. He's still better than UV(in tests):--D
Ultimate_Game Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 He's still better than UV(in tests):--D Tests yes, shorter formats no.
Ranjha Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 He's still better than UV(in tests):--D oh yea..based on what statistics? Yuvi a critical member in t20 worldcup win and 50 worldcup win. vijay a one off final in tamasha ipl....hahah go on:haha::haha:
yoda Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Back to topic, this is not about Vijay's tests/ODI performance. When back at the beginning of IPL season, PK opened a thread about his great KXIP's top 3 (:hehe:), I said M. Vijay is one of CSK's answers and he LOLd with Sambar Fart and many others LOLd at his LOL. This thread is just to LOL at them :hahaha: Explosive 95 in the finals to put the game away from RCB's reach, enuf said.

Until then he's a domestic/IPL bully in the shorter format.[/quote'] well.. dint he score a 100 against the aussies in a test match last year??? all along we were thinking that he is a test match player and not suitable for the shorter format and here you are :hysterical::hysterical:
ganeshran Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 He is a good test player. needs to be persisted with. ODIs I am not so sure..
Ramzz Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 So now IPL performances are being played up :hysterical: I would love to see Vijay replicate this IPL in intl cricket. We could really use a solid opener.
sandeep Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Vijay never gets anywhere near as many length balls to play his trademark lofted drives at the intl level, and under pressure to score, gets himself into playing bad shots. I like the kid, but to say he's an explosive scorer is clearly wrong - he's got only a couple of big shots that he relies heavily on - take those away from him and he does struggle...
vvvslaxman Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 So now IPL performances are being played up :hysterical: I would love to see Vijay replicate this IPL in intl cricket. We could really use a solid opener. This whole thread is to take a dig at P_K's comment about his IPL performance. I do not think he is referring to international. Fact that he has done this to international bowlers like Tait(last year), Zaheer, Vettori, Watson.. i don't think problem is ability. It is just that when it doesn't come off he is nowhere to go. He just gets into a quagmire and loses the plot. Inability to rotate strike is always going to be a hurdle for him. Final was an exception where he and Hussey scored lot of twos.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 well.. dint he score a 100 against the aussies in a test match last year??? all along we were thinking that he is a test match player and not suitable for the shorter format and here you are :hysterical::hysterical: Vijay's credentials in Tests are not in question. It's his credentials against INTL teams in shorter format. He always scores in IPL but can't do jack in odis or T20s against intl teams.
Guest Gunner Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Vijay's credentials in Tests are not in question. It's his credentials against INTL teams in shorter format. He always scores in IPL but can't do jack in odis or T20s against intl teams. Calm down, he has played only 11 ODIs. Honestly if you can back Rohit sharma to play 70 ODIs, I don't see any problem in VJ getting a few more chances.
