The management has been really good. From the themes like "Whistle Podu", to having a yellow coloured jersey, which stands out,(unlike the other teams who are all blue ) to having a captain who is unbeatable, to having a fortress of a stadium where no team can come and win, to having passionate fans. CSK is def the best franchise of them all. But still the matches are never sold out:blink:. Let me tell you guys this.. if Mumbai had a franchise like this, there would not be space for even a cockroach in the stadium. Enjoy the victory while it lasts..:two_thumbs_up: coz MI is gonna kick your ass in the Champions league. :icflove:

Thank you  but where is the luck here?? :dontknow: the managment made the best decision to get Dhoni and also to retain the core of the team even after the 3 years.

Lucky to have them. For all you know, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Arun Lal could've won the bid for the chennai team.

Srini may be a devil but he is a smart devil :) He made all the right moves- got Dhoni as captain, relied on local talent and redesigned the stadium to suit the team. It may not be bad move to have him as the next BCCI president.....he would kill our enemies with his evil genius.

I agree it is the best run franchise. It knows how to spot good talent and how to keep that good talent. The best thing I like about CSK is that we also have local boyzz in the team who are doing great - Ashwin, Vijay, Badri and Balaji earlier. Ofc it helps to have captain kool to keep things together and Raina has been unbelievable for us and we are lucky to have them both. Regarding foreign talent the team has done a great job of taking people who are available the whole season unlike what KKR did first 3 IPLs and also give them clear roles and batting/bowling spots unlike what MI did this IPL. I don't know about this season, but my niece was telling me last season that it was difficult to get seats for CSK games and many of them were selling for a premium.

Yes great franchise. Kept the same team. Support staff is same as well. MI also kept their core same. So having same core helped both team and both were consistent. RCB were just relying on Gayle all the time.

With true Pakistani style conspiratorial accusations, often times, opposition fans have a tendency to dismiss csk' success as a mere by product of it's owners back room dealings. What gets lost in this maelstrom of chatter and charade is the fact that chennai are by far, the best t20 team to have played the t20 game and will continue to be so, at least for a while. Just look at what they have managed to achieve in the last 4 years - 4 IPL semi final places, 3 final spots, back to back winners the last two times and most revealingly, a clt20 against the best teams of the world, in of places. South Africa. And all this is while other t20 teams, IPL or otherwise, have found it really hard to maintain even a semblance of consistency. People often forget that, a team like mi, which was often hailed as the best team in the league, took nearly 3 years to get their act together. Kkr even took 4. But, rain or shine, csk have always been there or thereabouts, every single year which is a true testament of their quality. They have by far the best captain in the world in dhoni, the worlds best t20 batsmen in Raina, a top and middle order that can not only score quickly, but also have the technique to survive an onslaught of quality fast bowling in challenging conditions. They have 2 bowling all rounders in Morkel and bravo, a quality spinner in Jakati and probably the worlds best t20 spinner in ashwin. And if that wasn't enough, they have a 90 mph quick in bollinger. Of course, having the best players alone is not enough, you should have the right strategies as well. And in this aspect, you have to give credit to the owners for working with chennai curator to prepare pitches that are a perfect fit for csk's strength. I believe csk's success at home offers a clear blue print for others in terms of how to use your home conditions to your advantage. Also, internally, they seems to have worked out the perfect batting formula for t20s. And they have the best fielding unit in entire league. Csk's success isn't by accident, it's by sheer design. Of course, given the nature of the game, they're gonna lose the odd game here and there, but the odd blips aside, they're by far and away, the best t20 side in the world at the moment.

No one would deny that.....but honestly who is a saint in BCCI? If we are to be ruled by devils...I would pick smart ones over the dumb ones.

Just like the rest of BCCI staff. Eventually a bigger chewtiya will sort him out and take his place

^ looks like a bro to lalith modi.. but he was calm and cool during the matches not like those bollywood owners.
ya he does resemble Lalit Modi a bit. You know, he is from the AVM family.
