Based on a mathematical system involving overall IPL 2011 Stats, and using a 6 batsmen, 1 all rounder, 3 seamers, 1 slowie format... In order of best Batsmen of the tournament (not batting order), these are the 6 batsmen: V Kohli V Sehwag S Badrinath MS Dhoni SR Tendulkar PC Valthaty The best All-rounder was: Yuvraj Singh The best 3 Seamers were: MM Patel S Aravind RP Singh The best slowie was: R Sharma So the according to stats, the best Indian T20 team/squad is: (Not in batting order) V Kohli V Sehwag S Badrinath MS Dhoni (c/w) SR Tendulkar PC Valthaty Yuvraj Singh MM Patel S Aravind R Sharma RP Singh MK Tiwary - Extra Batsman YK Pathan - Extra All-rounder A Mishra - Extra Slowie A Singh - Extra Seamer HOWEVER, I CONCEDE THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A FLAW IN MY BOWLER SYSTEM I used (Ave x SR x Econ)/Wickets taken. The lower the score, the better the player. If there's a better system, let me know. Maths isn't my strong point...

Ashwin by far had better stats than all seamers except for Munaf, BUT, based on a conventional format of selection (3 quicks, 1 slow), he fell behind Sharma & Mishra...

To boot Ashwin is a decent bat.
