I'll give you a moar interesting poal: Give these options and ask people which they would rather watch: 1. Pak vs WI in tests 2. CSK vs RCB in IPL finals

BTW, I have an analogy in terms of skills required and spectator interest. Decathlon requires more skills than say a 100 m dash as it tests many facets of a person's athletic ability. But guess what people are interested in watching? :winky: Point is, more skill required to perform does not necessarily mean more interesting to view.

Both are different formats and have their own place in the game. Transformers and Schindler's list can co-exist and have their own fans. There is no need to pick one or the other. Studios often use the money they make from big movies to finance smaller movies that wins oscars and increase their critical standing. If they did not make 400 million $ profit on transformers, they will not have money to finance smaller movies. So they feed on each other. Similarly, players and boards can use IPL and T20 to make money while use test cricket to increase their critical standing in the world of cricket.

Agreed.

there is a major flaw in your analogy and it is to do with the skills of actors. Unlike Cricket they aren't going to lose their acting skills by acting in movies for Funz and stuffz. They also make the same amount of money in both types of movies. But in cricket it takes many many years for cricketers to develop skills to compete at test level. This is why teams like BD struggle a lot in Test cricket. Once you have showed a easier route to gravy train guess what is going to happen : we will start to suck badly and knowing how Indians are the masters at finding short cuts we will be looking to get done with Test Cricket.
Rajini says hi. "They also make the same amount of money in both types of movies." Nope, they don't. "But in cricket it takes many many years for cricketers to develop skills to compete at test level." Acting is as difficult. Infact, any form of art doesn't come easy.

we are talking the real eal brah not some cheap ass tammy sheet :hehe: lulz ... is that why an entire bunch of Bollywood actors have kids who also became successful actors whereas not one single successful Test cricketer in India has kids that were remotely as successful (Lala Amarnath does not count ) ?
Nailed it :hatsoff:

Test Cricket on a bowling friendly wicket is my first option especially seam bowler friendly. Would love to see Sachin Vs Steyn, Zaheer Vs Trot in Durban or Headingley. Test Cricket on a Patta flat track will always be my last option to watch cricket. Cant watch Jaywardene or Yunus Khan making 200 after playing for two days against spinners and part timers bowling whole day in Ahmedabad or Karachi. One Day and T20 come s i n between them.

Your argument is so twisted :phehehe: First, you call no "tammy sheet" then you bring in Bolly sheet to strengthen your point in the second one. :giggle: "They also make the same amount of money in both types of movies." Pirates 4 has grossed more than 600 millionz within the first three weeks. Ever heard of the movie "Primer" and how much it made at the box office? If you haven't watch them both, then do watch them...come back and tell us which one you liked the most.
