akshayxyz Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 according to law you can't listen or broadcast music live on net from indian territory i think.so you can only listen what rj says. I dont think so. There is no such law. For broadcasting through internet or any medium, you just need to get the rights from the distributors ( media houses) and license from the governing authority for use of medium.. e.g if you want to broadcast over RF ( FM/AM) - you will need more licenses from govt. But this streaming business is not at all against law. On internet - Ragaa.com and Saavn.com have the rights to huge collection of songs. You can search their songs collection on google music http://www.google.co.in/music/album?n=Dum-Maaro-Dum&id=20110401155600_2r85mf9mzz8tk But the song will play from those websites.

AM a regular visitor of radio mirchi site.they show which song they are playing. http://www.radiomirchi.com/delhi
akshayxyz Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 you need to check your info.all these website running from outside the india as i think. there are many websites where you can listen music mp3hungamA ETC. Why don't you provide link to the exact law you are referring to? May be we are talking about different things. From my reliable contacts, I know - ragaa.com and saavn.com have legal distribution rights. Other sites who do not have sufficient rights are liable for legal actions from media houses and ragaa/saavn. One reason why hugely popular Guruji.com's music streaming was taken offline. Google would not partner with someone who is not clean (one of my friend was project lead for google music - India ).
Dark Warrior Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 AM a regular visitor of radio mirchi site.they show which song they are playing. http://www.radiomirchi.com/delhi I'm not saying you don't visit that site. May be your english is not that well so you can't express yourself that clearly. Coz you said you were listening to online songs on radio mirchi and when people asked for the link, you made up that 'law thing' on your own. I don't have any problem with this. You can check list of songs radio mirchi bindass but the way you spoiled almost every thread you post into is disgusting. I really like this thread. People were posting some useful sites and now you've diverted in other direction (music laws for websites hosted in India). I mean seriously WTF.
