vamos_rafa Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Let's not make too much out of 'Windowgate' Posted 2 hours, 26 minutes ago in Sri Lanka in England, 2011 Nasser Hussain, writing for the Daily Mail, says Matt Prior's tantrum that resulted in a shattered glass window at Lord's, is the kind of thing that happens all the time in cricket. It showed that Prior cared, so let us move on. The dressing room is exactly the right place to take out your frustrations, whatever England are claiming about the manner in which the window was broken. We’ve all done it, and I should know. I remember kicking a fridge in Rawalpindi after Wasim Akram got me lbw in a one-dayer when the ball pitched miles outside leg. http://blogs.espncricinfo.com/surfer/
Serani Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Huh? I don't think so' date=' how can gloves break the windows like that? I think he smashed it with his bat after getting out such cheaply. :dontknow:[/quote'] I have seen it happen to some guy in my club, had to pay for the window...
ganeshran Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 If an Indian player had done this and got away with only a reprimand, bitter sods like Holding and Nasser would have sat on a dharna and blamed the powers of BCCI for it.
IKnowU Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I have seen it happen to some guy in my club' date=' had to pay for the window...[/quote'] I agree with the glove theory. No way smashing the bat against the window makes a tiny hole on the window pane.
Stuge Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 We believe you Matt prior .:cantstop: you showed us how to break a glass :)
vamos_rafa Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I have seen it happen to some guy in my club' date=' had to pay for the window...[/quote'] You sure there wasn't any hand in that glove? :winky:

Stuge Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 The sequence of events sounds very similar to another incident a few months back. :hmmm: Ricky pointing :cantstop::cantstop:

gaurav92 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 We would have heard how Indian players are getting too big-headed' date=' don't respect the home of cricket and all that nonsense[/quote'] Absolutely, they believe in double standards
DomainK Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 They should build more glass windows and other fragile things that their cricketers can break in rage. Because when India will tour, there will be more frustrated cricketers in that English dressing room than the number of glass windows.
CoverDrive Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Atleast it was not a groin guard like in case of Ponting. Why the hell is this such a big story. Prior was an idiot and was made to look like one. End of story
