arun81 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Ghaziabad: In an effort to keep the land acquisition issue alive, the Congress on Monday announced that it will celebrate Rahul Gandhi's birthday as farmers rights day across the country. While criticising the Mayawati government for the alleged police atrocities against protesting farmers in Bhatta-Parsaul villages in Gautam Budhha Nagar on May 7, UP Congress president Rita Bahaguna Joshi said the party general secretary's birthday on June 19 will be celebrated as 'Kisan Adhikar Divas'. The party will try to create awareness among people about farmers' rights and advocate that adequate changes in the land acquisition law be made soon, she added. http://ibnlive.in.com/news/rahul-gandhis-birthday-to-be-farmers-rights-day/159069-37-64.html
ganeshran Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 :wall: :wall: Why doesnt Rahul Gandhi show the same respect to Lokpal protestors or the Jaitapur case. His conscience beats for only protests in the opposition ruled states
beetle Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Rahul Gandhi is the biggest loser Pappu around. The man hasn't ever held a responsible job and wants to have a first shot at the top most job.Shameless sponge.
King Tendulkar Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Rahul is starting to remind me of dighvijay singh recently. It seems he has been advised by him in how to indulge in tamasha
ganeshran Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Rahul is starting to remind me of dighvijay singh recently. It seems he has been advised by him in how to indulge in tamasha Digvijay is the biggest joker in Indian politics -- looks like he is mentoring Rahul to take up his place
saneindian Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Digvijay is indeed the official mentor of Rahul Gandhi. No wonder Rahul keeps getting into trouble for stating complete lies as facts and later his party has to defend him somehow and rebuke the media for twisting his words. On another note, I read somewhere a few things about Amethi, Rahul Gandhi's constituency (which has seen someone from the Nehru family winning nearly everytime). People below poverty line: Rae Bareli-Amethi 54% Families with electricity: Rae Bareli-Amethi 14% Per capita expenditure: Rae Bareli-Amethi Rs 385 Vaccinated children: Rae Bareli-Amethi 16% Neo-natal deaths: Rae Bareli-Amethi 83 per 1000 Fatality below five years: Rae Bareli-Amethi 160 per 1000 Also, out of the MPLAD funds, Rahul's has spend just 0.18 crore our of the more than 3 croer that has been sanctioned. These are shocking figures. I don't know how accurate these numbers are, but if true, they reflect very poorly on his performance as a MP.
ganeshran Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I dont know by what definition of secularism does Digvijay claim to be a secular leader. He is one of the most communally divisive leaders in India.
