Sehwag1830 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 If India manages to draw next 2 test match against WI, then England need to whitewash India.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 There goes England's dream of becoming number 1 this summer. :hysterical:
Shane Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 What if we win the next 6 test matches? Is there a position higher than no.1? :D
Cricket Tragic Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Someone please inform the England players about this. Many of them have been talking about how they become number 1 if they beat us this summer.
jairamesh Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 England will do it. The legendary pansy attack of Anderson, Tremlett, Broad and Swann will have Sehwag, Gambhir, Tendulkar, Dravid, and Laxman flummoxed :yay:
jairamesh Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Someone please inform the England players about this. Many of them have been talking about how they become number 1 if they beat us this summer. Exactly Funnily, even if England win the series 1-0, they will proclaim themselves the best and "unofficially" no.1 because they know come the vice-versa fixture in India will be unwinnable. Hence enjoy the fruits of labor now, before the tables are turned in SL and India next year. Neverthless (barring any hiccups in WI) India come December 2011, India will be celebrating 24 straight months being no.1 regardless of what happens in England.
Sehwag1830 Posted June 23, 2011 Author Posted June 23, 2011 Thanks Boss. If there is anything I cannot wait for in cricket this year is the start of this series. 8-) I have updated this list after England-SL test series. So this is more accurate.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Yeah, same here. Biggest series of the year!
Fontaine Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Even if England win the series it's not big freakin' deal. I remember just two years ago when they toured India and we won the test series 1 or 2 - 0 and then proceeded to beat that a s s whitewashing them 5-0 or something in ODI's and before that we beat them in England in the test series. And that was with a bowling attack of Swann/Harmison/Flintoff/Anderson/Broad. So just like the questions posed to India - > How can England call themselves the no. 1 if they can't win abroad (like in SA or India).
