I'm guessing you're talking about the Bangalore test vs Pakistan or the Perth test (which was actually in 2008). His bowling is just not good enough for test cricket imo. Even in the Bangalore test, it was his batting which helped us.

His bowling in the B'Lore test was ordinary. Agree about the Perth Test, he did a perfect all rounder's job. Scored some crucial runs and took important top order wickets :nice:

His test record excluding minnows is pathetic.
Minnows or not, but in the first 12 overs the batsman would be a specialist batsman that is for sure and having an average of 22.4 for first 12 overs is remarkable and look at the list of bowlers with him. His career average of 32.26 may lead to questions to the captain and coach who handled him that whether he was utilized correctly or not.
