Midfielder Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 It seems like Harbhajan has taken fewer tests than wasim to get to the 400 wkts mark and mind you he was bowling along with the best spinner in the world Anil whereas wasim had a free rein. I think take the Sharjah crap out you will see Wasim is nothing compared to Harbhajan. I think Harbhajan is way better than Wasim.

cricketman Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 HARBAJAN IS D GR8ST BALLER IN WRLD. IF HE WAS PHASST BOWLER HE WUD GET MORE SWANG THAN WAZIM. ALL HAIL HARB. WE SING BHAJANS ABOUT BHAJJI. :bhangra::bhangra: Ok, ferrealz. Are you serious?? Wasim is one of the greatest bowlers EVER, Harbhajan is... well.... not. What a fail of a thread, no better than the Inzamam>Tendulkar claims made by padosis. At least Inzy was closer to Sachin than Harbhajan is to Wasim.
ganeshran Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 A spinner gets to bowl far more overs per match than seamers so a statistical comparison between them using the number of matches is not correct.
Serani Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Please let this thread be driven by facts only no personal crap. How about the fact that Wasim averaged 10 less than Harbhajan?
Karan114 Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011  Why do we have to swing between extremes of saying Bhajji is undeserving of his record to saying he is better than an all time great like Akram.
Midfielder Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 How about the fact that Wasim averaged 10 less than Harbhajan? How about Harbhajan took fewer matches to get there. Moreover spinners always go for more runs most of the time.
Serani Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 How about Harbhajan took fewer matches to get there. Moreover spinners always go for more runs most of the time. Too few matches to what ?:giggle: And spinners like Warne, Murali, Kumble and Swann have far superior averages than the darth thrower...
Midfielder Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011  Why do we have to swing between extremes of saying Bhajji is undeserving of his record to saying he is better than an all time great like Akram. I have never called Wasim all time great. It is a myth perpetuated by media, I just dont support it.

What makes Wasim so great I dont see it.
Sir_Afridi Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 How can you compare wickets with run outs? :dontknow:
Midfielder Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 Too few matches to what ?:giggle: And spinners like Warne, Murali, Kumble and Swann have far superior averages than the darth thrower... Warne and Kumble are good, Murali is a chucker and Swann will be doing is Swan song in few weeks. Back to Harbhajan is indeed better than Wasim.
Alchemist Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Harbhajan, if you ask me. He has been able to tame Sreesanth. Nobody else has done that. Even Dhoni has a problem dealing with Sree.
Midfielder Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 How can you compare wickets with run outs? :dontknow: How can you compare spin with ball tempering, seam lifting and so on.

You are good. That is one reason I dislike Harbhajan for as Sree is one of my favorite bowlers. No body brings more enthusiasm to the field than Sree. Love him.
