Not comparable to any of the windows machines. And the OS is the cherry on top. Just make sure the apps/programs u use are available on the mac/there are good alternatives.Thanks for that. Have you had any compatibility issues with any of the programs/apps on a Mac?

Today I happened to stop by an Hp shop and the guy suggested an HP DM1. It's about 25k but I can increase my RAm and with all the changes plus a scanner-printer thrown in it comes for about 30k. Only thing is it has an AMD. So I expressed my concern about AMD. He said the new ones do not have that problem. Onei interesting thing he said was that the heating problem is not exactly because of the processor but it is the problme of the laptop manufacturer with regards where he places the processor. The guy said that HP used to have the most complaints because they would place the processor at the bottom in the middle which meant that air circulation was difficult once you keep the lappie on any surface coz the only way air could go out was from the bottom hence it wasn't efficient. But, now they have fixed the problem by moving the processor to the edge of the machine which allows the fan an opportunity to breathe and exhale the air around. Consider it like the difference between a basement (the previous HPs) and a romm with windows opening to the outside of the house in the new ones. Does anyone know about this new dev and if AMD is as acually better these days? I mean are yoi aware that AMD is now thought to be better than Intel, or was it just cox he wanted to sell the HP stuff?

Yes,Yes and Yes.. Mac advantages: No antivirus reqd, no bloatware to slow down your laptop over time,great usability experience,durable blah blah

Mt friend had an Acer and he had the same problem.
