Please read my response carefully.
Why bother? It is going to be the same support harby campaign. If I say anything you will just blindly call me things like Anti-Punjabi.

I posted this earlier in some other thread. Trent Bridge is made for fast bowlers. Check last few matches there. Spinners hardly get chance to do much there. If Zaheer is fit for next test, then I would like to see 4 pacers (Zaheer, PK, Ishant, Sree). If team wants then Bhajji can play in 3rd and 4th test which aren't like Trent Bridge. Flatter tracks and better for spinners, but not this one. Sree certainly should get chance on this track.
Zaheer needs to prove his match fitness. No way he should be allowed near the team.

That. Half fit Zaheer is no good, he has to bowl around 20 overs day. ONly if we had 4 bowlers in this match :((

Will never call you that till you come across that way. It is all good so enjoy but back to your original question four pacers just feel like too much.

Glad to hear that. I have nothing against harby personally and all respect to him for 400 test wickets but on current form he shouldn't be playing. What harby needs is time and some space to come back with a new bag of dangerous tricks. Like I said earlier for a spinner the mind is the most important thing, in harby's case it is all completely shot. It was horrendous to watch what KP did to him in the first innings. Four pacers is doable for Trent bridge, spinners won't really help there.

No ill feelings here as that is your opinion. My arguement for one spinner is that you get a variety and a fifth day pitch always disintegrates. Moreover run rate becomes an issue plus there is variety if bowlers beome comfortable with pace. Moreover a mix of spin is pretty good in throwing the timings off from all pace attack. Keep it balanced but I could be wrong abt this one.

These are good arguments for playing a spinner and hold true on most tracks, but Trent Bridge is a real seamer's paradise, so a venue where an all pace attack would make sense. However, with the over rate problems India are having, doubt it will be contemplated.

Need to keep them guessing and I hope Sree comes thru. Need to keep them off balance but like I said I could be wrong.
