Accusing a senior player of using vaseline to cover up any edges is not funny. He is basically accusing Laxman of cheating. All this after ECB and the English media forced BCCI to use Hotspot which BCCI didnt want anyway because they were not sure about its accuracy. Personally I always felt using an imperfect technology would only lead to more controversies like the Bell incident in the WC. English proved they are a bunch of ******s who just like to criticize India come what may because they cant stand India are No 1 in test rankings, WC champions and also generate so much revenue. If Hotspot was not implemented, it would have been another issue. Same thing with Hawk eye.

He was trying to use humour to cover up his obvious goof-up earlier. I wonder if the English would be laughing if one of their players was accused of the same. 'Easy to rile up' indeed. I've seen a few English fans here get uptight whenever one of their players' abilities is questioned, I don't think this 'attribute' is unique to Indian fans. But I have to say some of the comments a few idiots made in response to Vaughan were plain embarrassing.

The hypocrisy and double standards from England is not something to laugh about. I remember Dhoni getting a lot of flack and abuse in this very forum and elsewhere for criticizing umpires in West Indies after he rejected DRS. I dont think anybody found that funny.

Hotspot showed there was no edge and it was a technology that both teams decided to agree upon. End of story. What's the need for speculation about the accuracy of Hotspot now after using it in the series ? Why did ECB push so hard for its use if their own players are not convinced about it ?

You probably haven't read the thread or Vaughan's tweets to put forth such a statement.
