ganeshran
Why consider it as bad? Batsmen used to do this to upset the bowlers rhythym. But if a batsman keeps moving before the ball is bowled, he wont have the time to get in proper position to play the shot and this would be exploited by the better bowlers. Link to comment

ganeshran
If this was deliberate, I hope the BCCI penalizes him or gives him a ban for a few months. Link to comment
speed_demon
If this was deliberate' date=' I hope the BCCI penalizes him or gives him a ban for a few months.[/quote'] I'm sure it is deliberate, they all do it, and acknowledge it also, it's just that, there is no disciplinary action when such a case is found. He will be promoted to U22 instead of U19 thats all. For him it's a big concern though, captaining an India U19 team means something, Kaif, Kohli menaria all have hogged the limelight by being the captain of the U19 side. Link to comment
rkt.india
most U19 players look overaged..even Kohli looked.. Link to comment
Sid
Many players fake their ages to play U19 for India, prime example Piyush Chawla,I think he remained 19 for atleast 3 years. Link to comment

rkt.india
lol' date='rocket.india ,great minds think alike :D[/quote'] I tell you one thing. In under age cricket, lot of players passed 20 plays as U19. My brother passed age 19 played U17 on fake age certificate issued from a school. They most are at least 2-3 years more than their actual age. There are very few who look like they belong to their age. Link to comment
1983-2011
India U-19 captain dropped after fudging age New Delhi: The BCCI on Wednesday was left red-faced after Maharashtra batsman Ankit Bawne, who was named captain of the India U-19 squad for a quadrangular tournament, had to be dropped following revelations that he provided inaccurate information about his age. The BCCI named Unmukt Chand as the captain while Kumar Deobrat of Jharkhand was officially named the vice-captain. "As there is U-19 World Cup due to be held in Australia next year, the cut-off date for players eligible are those born on and after September 1, 1992," a senior board official informed. According to the BCCI database, Bawne's official date of birth is December 17, 1992, but now it has been learnt that his passport states a DOB that is before September 1, 1992. While chairman of junior selectors Abey Kuruvilla refused to comment on the issue, another member of the junior selection committee revealed what Bawne has told the board officials about the "age goof-up" in his passport. "Ankit told us that he got his passport made by an agent who had goofed up his date of birth due to which this discrepancy happened. Well, that issue can be sorted out but as of now we can't take any chance with him," the selection committee member preferring anonymity told PTI. However, it is learnt that no action will be taken against Bawne although it is the cricketer who has provided wrong information. http://cricketnext.in.com/news/india-u19-captain-dropped-after-fudging-age/60240-13.html :facepalm: Link to comment
saneindian
Haven't the age determination tests (through X ray of forearms) been made compulsory for the junior level tournaments? Link to comment
