The England players made decent money but it's not massive amounts. 250k for the top players and 40k for those on incremental contracts.

Yeah, they make more than players from those countries but it is not really huge money for a sportsman. 100k is 4 times the national average but not really massive for a successful banker in the city. A 2nd/3rd year analyst makes that much.
