The 29-year-old experienced tightness in his right quadriceps following the third Test at Edgbaston and will be monitored over the next 48 hours. England will definitely be without bowler Chris Tremlett, who failed a fitness test on his injured back. Graham Onions has been called up as cover for the match, which starts on Thursday at The Oval. National Selector, Geoff Miller, said: "Unfortunately Chris Tremlett has failed a fitness test and won't be available for selection for the fourth Test, despite showing strong signs of recovery over the past few days. Tremlett played in the first Test at Lords, which England won by 196 runs, taking four wickets, but a back injury saw him miss the second Test at Trent Bridge and the following match at Edgbaston, with Tim Bresnan excelling in his place. Onions' call-up to the Test side is his first since leaving the tour of Bangladesh in March 2010 with a back injury that meant he missed the whole of the season that year. dont get too happy because Graeme onions can swing the ball as well as Anderson and is 3-4mph faster than Anderson and has bowled 90mph in the county championship.hed be playing in this test had he not got injured and had Tremlett not performed so well. Just goes to show how good Englands bench stregnth is.
