Tiger80 Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Ashwin amd Mishra currently are much better than harbhajan.Atleast the batsman has to hit them and they wont get bad balls to hit.(Mishra might give a few but hey he is a leg spinner). So Ashwin Who has yet to make his test debut is better than Bhajji and then people blame cricketers for playing IPL .IPL can make you better player even without making debut:haha:

Ashwin is good prospect for Indian cricket but declaring him better than Bhajji without making Test Debut is too early.Lets first give him chance in Indian sub continent as here we need 2 or sometimes even 3 spinners ,If he bowls well and take wickets then he can easily take place of Bhajji.
Cricket Tragic Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Mishra is useless as well and has done jack **** since the 5 wickets against Australia. Get rid of him for good. Time to try someone else as the second spinner against the WI.

In How many games has harbhajan peformed off late(yes he is a proven champion but champions keep proving themselves again and again at the big stage). We need to tell harbhajan that he is not our unconditional No 1 spinner nd we must have someone breathing down his neck so that it brings out the best in him.
Rightarmfast Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Don't worry bro. I think he went on ur username n thought u were Pakistani. Considring u r Indian' date='I say change ur username to rightarmspinner:cantstop:[/quote'] Hmm...Thats our typical mindset, aint it ? Even though we have had Srinath, Wassan to have played for India, still people think we cannot produce fast bowlers ? Silly, I say !

Midfielder Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Ashwin and Mishra are both good but pulling some stats out to show that they are better than Harbhajan is ridiculous. Harbhajan is the best spinner, period.

Harbhajan is the best spinner' date=' period.[/quote'] then better to use a Fast Bowler or average all rounder ....any way if Bajji is the best then no need to play a spinner :winky:

He may not be at peak at the same time both Mishra and Ashwin should get there chances too as they deserve it. No body should be automatic for selection.
Midfielder Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Atul Wassan? Yes! I think he wrecked Pakistan once and dont know what happened next.
Jayaram_IND Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Yes! I think he wrecked Pakistan once and dont know what happened next. He was not fast, was he?More a medium fast bowler.
Rightarmfast Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Atul Wassan was fast. He was genuine fast. He wasnt 150+..More or 140- 147kph bowler. He terrorized the NZ batsmen in NZ and after that Indian selectors totally forgot him ! And please do not call him medium fast..he was fast. I know of 2 more fast bowlers who never played for India and neither in Ranji...But they were express...( More on them only on request :winky:) And I am not lying !

We may never know how fast he was as there were no speed guns available then.Sometimes bowlers look fast but they may not be fast.a batsman might be hit on the head by a really good bouncer but the speed gun may show 130 kmph(like ishanths bouncer showed 133).So its debatable but the general opinion is that he was a fast medium bowler.Even Cricinfo says so.Its not that i dont trust you are that you are lying.I believe your version but just feel that its debatable.
Rightarmfast Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Cricinfo also terms Srinath as Fast Medium...Was he ? And it terms Wasim Akram as Fast..Was he genuine fast ? Please do not rely on the terminology. Its been a general tendency of media and the world to call any Indian pace bowler , medium fast. I know he was fast because he was fast.

Lets leave it.There is no point debating whether wassan was fast or not and its of no use to us now. Also since i havent seen much of him i wont go further.
