DomainK Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 So it seems an Apple id can be created without a credit card and hence free apps can be downloaded without a credit card?
Jersey #10 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 They are Mainly concentartingon Software and Services Side... Best buy didnt agreed to Pay for all the Tablets shipped fromHP...More than 95% Touchpads Unsold...So HP wants to move out rather than simply wasting time and money... Only option left is to make Webos open as Google done woth android... ok "mr. knowitall act". The only reason HP didn't sell so many of their touchpads is because there were other slightly better options available for the same price. It's totally worth it for 99 bucks. It has it's pros and cons...but then what doesn't?
Jersey #10 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 So it seems an Apple id can be created without a credit card and hence free apps can be downloaded without a credit card? Yes. I have the Ipod touch and you don't need a credit card to download free apps. Few years ago credit card was required to create an account but not anymore.
Jersey #10 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 DomainK, don't go for the ipad...do your self a favor (assuming you haven't bought it already) It's a black hole, everything costs extra and no flash plus a lot of websites are opened as "mobile version" and are not reversible to full websites. I know I am ranting about the "mobile websites" all over again but it annoys the sh!t outta me. If you are trying to spend 500 odd bucks, look at the galaxy 10.0 and the xoom.

Domaink asked which is best tablet except IPad 2 so I gave answer...as I already own IPad 2 and also regularly read about other Tablets so I wrote what I have read... if you read the My first post clearly you can see I mentioned Touch pad.. i just mentioned that ther may not be any software upgrades as HP anounced they discontinue the Webos.. Do bit googling will help 99 bucks may be looks small to you may not be for others.....

I didn't read your first post...my bad...let's be cool again I also read a lot about these tablets and the smart phones. Why? I am in the market for both. It's actually being said that there will be even more apps on the touchpad now since millions of people have bought it through this fire sale. There is a good chance that people will work on new apps and not only that, there is talks about installing android on it. It's going to be a hacker's paradise and I love that.
